After spending many mornings, afternoons and evenings stalking and catching these speedy Chesapeake Bay crabs with their dip nets along the docks in Broad Creek, we asked the boys to do a visual study of these beautiful (and delicious) blue and red crustaceans.
The kids looked into their buckets packed with jimmys, sooks and sallies. And inspecting their catch carefully, they noted the colors and counted pinchers and swim fins. Finally, they put pencils and crayons to paper and came up with these works of art.
